Servings 2

Ingredients

  • 2 8-ounce Cod Fillets
  • 2 tablespoon Miso Paste white
  • 2 tablespoon Maple Syrup
  • 2 tablespoon Mirin
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic finely minced
  • 1/2 pound Green Beans trimmed
  • 2 stems Scallions finely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon Sesame Seeds to top
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Whisk together the miso paste, maple syrup, mirin, butter, and garlic.
  • Heat the miso butter mixture and 1 tablespoon of water in a large (10-inch or so) ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Stir to make sure that everything is mixed together evenly. Once it begins to bubble, place the cod fish fillets in the skillet and cook about 2-3 minutes each side until the sides are browned.
  • Spoon the sauce over the fish. Add the green beans to the skillet and transfer the skillet to the oven. Cook for another 5-10 minutes until the fish is cooked through and flaky and the green beans are tender.
  • Once done cooking, divide the cod fish fillets and green beans between two plates. Season with salt and pepper and top with scallions and sesame seeds. Serve and enjoy!
