Ohhhh Rosè…how I love to sip on you in the summer months. There is something about drinking a crisp, icy cold, dry rosè out on my roof deck watching the sunset over the Charles river. Definitely one of my favorite summertime activities. Meh…can summer just stay forever please?!
Let’s talk about rosé and watermelon. They’re like two peas in a pod, a match made in heaven. I challenge you to name a better duo…The sweetness of the watermelon perfectly balances out the dryness of the rosè. So refreshing and so freakin’ good!
Now to the exciting part, this Watermelon Kiwi Rosè Sangria! It’s refreshing and not too sweet, as some sangria’s can be. All you need are these ingredients:
- Chunks of watermelon
- Fresh watermelon juice (made from blending some of the watermelon chunks in a blender)
- Kiwi Slices
- Juice of a few limes
- A bottle of dry rosè
- A couple splashes of vodka
- Lime seltzer, or any seltzer of your choice
- A teeny bit of simple syrup or honey
- Mint to garnish, and make it look like you ordered it at a fancy cocktail bar
Whether you’re having a summertime party or a chill night in, this sangria is your new favorite summertime drink. It’s easy to whip up, uses mostly fruit as a natural sweetener, and is healthier and less sugary than other sangria’s without sacrificing any deliciousness. Move over, vodka sodas, and say hello to this tastier “healthier” cocktail.

How much watermelon do you juice
What is the half cup watermelon for?

Hi Lalith! Thank you for catching my typo! It was supposed to say 1/2 cup Watermelon for Fresh Juice…so you’re juicing about 1/2 cup watermelon in the blender (adding a little water if necessary, depending on how high speed your blender is) and then pouring that in to the pitcher. I just updated the text in the recipe! Hope you enjoy the sangria 🙂
