This was the first thing I made after getting home from backpacking throughout Europe for 3 months. A green smoothie. How I missed green smoothies. There were certainly some places in Europe that sold green smoothies, but nothing like the ones that I make at home. After eating so much cheese, bread, pasta, meat, ice cream, pastries, etc…having this green smoothie was like heaven on earth, I am not even kidding. After making this smoothie, I hopped on the treadmill and got a good workout in. Europe was so much fun, but ahhh it was so nice to be back home and get back into the routine of things! I was so excited to get back to eating the foods I always eat and cooking all of my meals again. I began with making this smoothie. Here is the recipe:
RECIPE:
Ingredients:
- 1 Handful of Spinach
- 1/2 cup Blueberries
- 1/2 of an Avocado
- 1/2 cup chopped Cucumber
- 1/2 of a Banana, sliced
- 1- 1 1/2 cups Almond Milk (depending on the thickness you want)
Directions:
- Put all the ingredients into a blender.
- Blend until smooth
- Pour into a cup and enjoy 🙂
